So, I am currently in Waterford and I have been having a really busy time. But what I love the Irish work hard play hard attitude. I have to admit I have been out on the town quite a bit.
But the day started on Sunday when I met Paul Savage (CEO) and (secret man - will explain more later) for dinner. We went to Downes first. A lovely real Irish pub (with real Irish workers) where they brew their own Whiskey. It was lovely with an open fire place and dark corners and everything.
But the building next to Downes burnt down this year and all that is left is a huge hole. (Fire incident number 1).
Then we went to our local French restaurant for dinner and during the interview the Fire Brigade turned up and three strong Irish fire fighters ran through the restaurant and into the kitchen. The French stove had caught fire. (Fire incident number 2).
The next day we started at 8am with a power breakfast where Sinead Quealy (COO) and I finalised the metaTXT working group agreement (already sent out to several companies during the day yesterday).
Then Paul and I went into a marathon 2 hour power session gearing up for BETA launch of visibility mobile at Asia World Congress. Niall Cusack (CTO) gave me a pre-roll demo and I was speechless. This thing looks really really hot. OK - some more work also needs to be done on visibility mobile SEO website and I haven't done any on-line SEO for the site yet - but the product show case for phase 2 is pure genius.
After that we went for lunch with guru Micheal 0' Foghlu at the Waterford Crystal grounds which was great. I have asked Micheal to take a part in driving the research base of the business and more on that later.
So then we all sat down in a group for a session on a new arm of visibility mobile SEO and just as we were getting our teeth into it - the fire alarm went off and we all had to make a run for it. (Fire incident number 3).
So that is it - Ireland is hot and visibility mobile or what we are doing is simply on fire!
But seriously, everyone in the office worked late and we made huge progress. Sinead then had to run as she is flying from Cork to Romania this morning. Paul had to work late so Niall our CTO and myself had the most lavish dinner at La Palma followed by true Irish drinks with the locals in Geoff's. I love Waterford. It is a great place. Lots of really exciting things to come and news on a few ground breaking partnerships and deals.
Today I fly to Manchester for meetings with brands followed by a workshop on Mobile SEO on Wednesday.
